If you want to learn how to make money one the internet, take your lessons from Bryan Clark. Bryan Clark is a GENIUS when it comes to making money on the internet! As a matter of fact, he may be the smartest marketer on the internet!
Let me tell you how I arrived at this conclusion.
The other day, I was thinking to myself, “Maybe I should have a Blog Contest”. The reason I’m thinking about this is because I stumbled upon the contest over at Iron Blogger’s blog. I discovered his blog too late to get in on the action, but it got me thinking about what a GREAT marketing tool a blog contest can be.
So blog contests are on my mind when I see that the Linker’s Blog has posted November Case Study – Blog Contest! I see that I’m not the ONLY one with blog contests on the brain. The first prize offered by Linker’s Blog is: A Copy of ‘Blog Flipping Blueprint‘ by Brian Clark – Worth $147!
This caught my eye and I followed the link. After all, I never WIN anything so if I want a copy of this resource, I might as well pull out my checkbook and pay for it.
I follow the link to Brian’s site and lo and behold, the current post over at Site Flip U is The Blog Flipping Toolbox (Bookmark This!)
It’s good. MAN IS IT GOOD!!!
In the 8 WeekPower Blog Launch, this post would be classified as a Pillar Post! A Pillar Post is the kind of post that gets TONS of incoming links and is referenced on websites across the internet! This post is FILLED TO THE BRIM with absolutely incredible content. It’s so good – I click on the supremely positioned link to buy the blog flipping blue print because it’s THAT good.
This is not the FIRST time I’ve clicked on such a link, and it won’t be my last. I’m just like everyone else in the world. I have Goals, I have Desires, and I have Problems. When an ad speaks to one of my GDP issues, I pay attention.
However, the LAST time I clicked on a link like this, I was taken to the typical “one page sales page site for one of the thousands of “Make Easy Money Blogging” products. Like a good Internet Marketer, the product developer has created a long one page sales page site which features:
- a picture of the “author” working on a laptop at the beach
- a shot of his incredibly expensive cars parked in front of a mansion
- a “screenshot” of his earnings
- a long LIST of testimonials.
Because I didn’t just fall off the turnip truck, I do a bit of RESEARCH before spending my money. (I’ve spent WAY too much money previously on products that were superbly marketed but didn’t deliver on the promised made by the marketing – back in the days when I was fresh off the turnip truck!)
In the case of the product above, I copied and pasted the URLs featured in the testimonial and went and LOOKED at the sites listed. (You’ll notice I won’t honor this joker with any link juice.)
The product promised tons of free traffic to your blog, but about half of the testimonials weren’t blogs, but were other one page sales sites. The few that were blogs were DEFINITELY not getting the “TONS OF FREE TRAFFIC” promised by the product.
But this post isn’t about losers like the one above.
This is how YOU can learn to make money on the internet from someone who is doing it right.
As luck would have it, Bryan’s blog post includes links to several “blog valuation” sites where you type in a URL and the application “spits” out a proposed value. I had one of those sites open in another window of my browser, so it was easy to copy and paste the URLS of his testimonials into the tool.
THIS IS WHY I THINK BRYAN CLARK IS THE SMARTEST MARKETER ON THE INTERNET!
Each and every testimonial on his product – you know, the one about creating a successful blog – is written by someone with – go figure – a successful blog!
Now, I don’t know if this is a case where Bryan knows some successful people or whether this is a case of his blog flipping blue print being a superb product. What it DOES illustrate is that Bryan Clark is one of the smartest marketers on the internet.
- If you’ve got a product that you claim will drive TONS of traffic to a website, you’d better have the Alexa numbers to back it up.
- If you’ve got a product that claims to generate TONS of quality back links, your Google PR had better be higher than a 2.
Oh, and be sure your testimonials sport the same impressive statistics as well.
THAT my friends is how to make money on the internet – provide a product that DOES what you say it DOES and then let people know about it.

I’m hoping to win – but am prepared to buy!
@Iron Blogger
Your blog contest was very well designed! Sorry I missed it!
Good one! “Tezt testimonials” are good but I also find that if you allow others to add video testimonials – they’re more credible and almost “no-cheat”.
