A business blog can be an important marketing engine for your business. Just as a car engine propels an automobile, a business blog can be an important mover and shaker for your marketing campaign.
Just as a car engine makes a car GO - a business blog can ACCELERATE your internet marketing as well.
However, all business blog software is not created equal. There are many types of blogging software available, but for my money, I use Wordpress self hosted blogs. There are many reasons why a Wordpress business blog should figure in your search engine marketing plans.
1) Wordpress blogs are search engine friendly.
You’ve chosen your target audience, you know what keywords they’re using to find your product or service - now comes the hard part - getting your page to display in the first 100 pages of Google. The thing is, when you’re using Wordpress, this is a lot easier to make happen.
2) Wordpress blogs make link building easier.
Wordpress blogs don’t make link building easy - but they do make it easier! Every time you create a link in a Wordpress blog, the software sends a “notification” to the other website. If that website is also a Wordpress blog - well, then a notification appears on the other end. If the other blog has the no-follow tags disabled, then that creates a two way link. No need to send an email and risk being accused of spam.
However, just as a car needs more than an engine, your business blog needs more than just Wordpress to make it a success. Just as an engine needs fuel, your business blog needs fuel as well. That fuel is a blogging strategy. A comprehensive blogging strategy is essential to making your blog successful.
